IMHO, if they've got FSH, then I've got no issues.
I bought my Audi with 83K on it.

As long as the price reflects this, then you're laughing really. Just bear in mind that there would be wear and tear items to cautious of.

I looked at a FANTASTIC 3dr Candy White with DSG, 18" and fully loaded (sat nav etc) - had 70K on the clock with FSH (vw) all for £10K.
It was on Pistonheads for a while, but by the time I'd made my mind up on it, it had gone!!

yes higher mileage isnt really a thing to be put off by as long as it has had the money spent on maintaining the car properly infact you would be better off buying a car with 65-70k on it rather than one with 50k on it because atleast the higher one should have had its major expensive service with cambelt etc and bearing in mind you could still haggle the price down and save again on the price of the higher mileage ones

yeh, FWIW, I always try to look at cars that have just had the big services done. You can then factor out that by the time you p/ex, the car may need the next big service.

One thing to be careful of in cars around the 60-80k bracket is a lot on non service related items are coming to the end of their lives too.  Silly but annoying things like clips breaking, hoses coming loose, 02 sensors, maf sensors, coil packs (if they havent gone already) and just generally you're getting into a time when the things that break are maybe not common issues but unique to your car - if that makes any sense.  But by 80k most of these things are probably sorted and you're good for another 60k without too much hassle.

Thats been my experience and others I know as well.  So around that mileage expect some grief even if has an immaculate service history.
