if people on a budget and wannago low ,u can buy some AUDI TT strut which is 10mm shorter than mk4 strut , get some lower springs and now u can buy a top mount which can lower the car buy 10mm ,so depend on how low the springs is all in all u can lower the car at least by 50mm upto about 70mm which is plenty imo ... at the same time u get comfy ride too ...

That would prob end up costing more than the Hottuning ones  and you have no warranty

well,if u shop around like ebay or some places do stock clearance u can pick up the strut quite cheap or can get a low mileage seconhand strut then the spring is u currently got some lower springd u can still use them ... and top mounts it needs to change so prob be extra 10 pound

it wont be that much diference in price and u get a good quality ride and the low u wanted ....

i have just had some hottuning coilovers fitted less than a week ago and upto now  i think there excellent for £165 even if in 6 months they are knackered i will learn from it as long as it doesnt mess anything else up on your car changing your suspension if these are crap in the long run is no big shakes is it....
but from my point of view do it

wow, lots of replies, wasnt expecting that when i got in from work! im thinking ill probably go for them, aslong as they fit ok, balance out alright and the car looks better and handles a bit better im fine i geuss? a harsh ride doesnt really bother me too much either, although it would be nice to have a good comfortable ride like i have now, anyways, thanks for all those replies, great help!!

You can't go wrong for the price mate, i got em fitted on my mk4 had no problems and its not to harsh and has firmed up the ride to no end

They are exactly the same type, made by the same people and re-branded

The ones he originaly sold were hottuning but they were frequently being sent back with complaints and faults so he no longer supplys the hot tuning coilovers aparntly, not sure what they are now

these shocks are on my car the race land ones which are same ones and they ride fine, but i get a terrible squeek from front shocks, i had all my bushes replaced and they eat my strut top mounts for fun. i noticed a big improvement with ride quailty, but i will be selling them shortly for some abit more up market, as they say pay for what u get. my car wont go any lower with out spacers now.... i also had to fit an uprated arb which was £125 then fitting to.... swings and round abouts
