Had a quick look through this post - just a quick question - can you use the struts and bolts from the boot?

i only ask as i never use mine and its full of sub and no extra space!

Fitted today! Looks sweet but I think I will try and get some newer struts as I have to lift to 45 degrees before it starts to lift on it's own. So glad I have done this now wanted to do it for a while but never found a free way to do it!! Cheers guys

did this earlier today, took no more than 5 minutes! looks quality and so much better than the crappy bonnet prop

1983 mk1, 2.0, TSR pack C head, Eaton M45 - work in progress
1990 mk2 GTD, boost, fuel, soot
16v GTi mk3; chilli red, 16" Audi Speedlines, coilies
1934 Ford Dragster, 200mph in 6 seconds.
