« on: 03 April 2009, 21:31 »
This is probely going to be the funniest thing you ead this evening, but ive done my web searching and altho i know a bit more, im still not sure...lol

I am fully aware of what a dump valve is, its purpose etc, but wasnt sure if you could put one one a diesel...
apparently according to sites ive read, you can, its possibly pointless, but you can..

so theres the first point..

2ndly, if one wanted to do so, what would you guys suggest buying? brand.. what parts etc..

Many thanks for any help for little blonde me.lol

Forge do mk5 specific ones but I'm unsure if they do one for the TDI engine. Bailey Motorsports (I think?) do generic ones.
There's a mk5 TDI and a mk4 GT TDI with blow off valves in the city here that I see from time to time. The mk4's one isn't that loud but the mk5's one is pretty loud. People seem a bit disappointed when they look at it pass and spot the TDI badge instead of a GTI one
If you like the sound then fair enough, each to their own   If a Forge one will fit the TDI remember that they do an adjustable one if a full blow off valve is too loud.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3
