all them temps are fine - if you read the service book it says to start worrying if it goes above 145degrees

my 16v has been upto 124 on one or two occasions

My 8v 1988 GTI would regularly run up to over 100+ on reasonable runs on the A1, but given some real grief it'd hit 110.
Never had any problem, though over half hour trips on normal running I'd have the temp at about 92.
Don't worry too much about it, try to relax and ENJOY !
