Have you checked the shocks? Look for signs of leaking, when my front ones went the car definately set lower.

Shocks don't bear any weight - you can push them down with your hand.

Check the rear top spring retainers.

If the drivers side one is rusted out it could make the car sit up to an inch lower as the spring will be resting on the body instead.

Like the other guy's have said though I would look at the springs as there's not much else that could be wrong, particularly if it's at the front and you have recently fitted new top mounts etc.

What's the condition of the springs like?

After two years of salt and filth a cheap-assed lowering kit might be suffering from coil-bind and rotten springs.  Cheap metal rots fast.  You might even have a snapped spring somewhere in the mix.  Take 'em off and check 'em over is the only real way of sorting it.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

take both front shocks off and lay them on the ground side by side, if there is a spring issue it should immediately be obvious.  if not, fit them back on but swap em over, if the problem remains you know its not the shocks/springs/top mounts causing it.

get under the car and check the wishbones, are they angled roughly the same?
