not sure but the camshaft that i took out would make a diffrence to yours my mate put a gti cam in his driver

Yes.

Drivers have smaller valves though - you need to fit a GTI head to it.

here are the pics of me fitting newman 268 road rally camshaft / new rockercover /new cambelt kit /rocker cover gasket / crome oil cap / oil filter/ sparks/ oil change / may help some one out thanks
