well when mine went i got the code sayin missfire in cylinder 1

Right, Ive been sorting out the wiring and have stripped the wiring and cleaned it up and taped it up again, (quite a good job actually  )

I no longer have any of the faults that were showing up when I scanned it yesterday - result! BUT i still have the slight misfire....now when the coil packs are playing up do they usually bring up a fault on vag-com?

my performance is still there but there is defo some kind of missing under acceleration - could the timing be out at all?

generally a faulty coil pack will show up on vag-com just like jonnys did cant remember the code of the top of my head but it referred to misfire-cyl 1

Sadly this is quite a major loom and its also very expensive from VW, your looking at £400. Go to www.breakeryard.com and put in what part you want, they will email you back with part and price. It cost me £50 all in for mine and turned up next day. Quality

thought about changing ur plugs? i wouldnt have thought its a coilpack failure as mine went a few weeks ago and gt a missfire cyl02 when the AA ran the codes etc, the loom would be worth looking at but uve done/sorted that,id look at changing the plugs as they could cause the missfire if they are worn/old?

Just to let u know - it ended up being an exhaust problem, gasket needed replacing at the manifold end which was causing it to blow and a very slight misfire  Got a full miltek on its way anyway

nice one mate glad your sorted  oh and good work with getting a miltek much better than standard turbo/cat back? res or non res?
