just gets better :afro: done in good time too.

welding does seem to be an essential part of "just do it and worry later" modding. i wouldnt mind learning how to weld. how long does it take to get to a standard where you can happily weld? (mig btw!)

once again, nice stuff.

its not hard ,,its easy by laring urself instead of someone explaining as every welder has his own my ,,,
been a tad bisy with house but managed to sneak off for a hour lol  .and due to rain thought id make a start on the rear bumpers, as the std ones were rottern ,so off i went for some scrap metal ,,this will do nicely,,,

cut some lumps out and bent it

got the plazma on the go

removed the plastic and welded some tabs fited the caddy reg lights , just needs a few bolts and i might make some corners depending what they look like, nice lump of stainless ,so shouldnt rot

tryed these 18rims and there basicly too big and look daft ,,be nice on a mk4 golf

so went hunting for wheels ,,bit of stress ,all the nice ones are 4stud ,,
so looks like these will have to do ,,with the right tyres fitted that is

only ones i could find with a 5x100 and a 3inch wide dish on a 17inch rim

rears will need 20mm spacers thow and 235/40/17 tyres adding
fronts will be 215 40 17 ,,so should grip a little more ,,im hopeing anyway

plenty of calipar clearance too

dude, ur nuts! and i like it. i wish i had the time, space, skills, balls and cash to do something like that, maybe next year you'll do a mid engined, 4 wheel drive supercharged lupo, just to satisfymy curiousity on wat the look on the face of the guy in the scooby next to you at the traffic lights looks like when he gets muched by a lupo lol

dyeing to c this one finished tho, keep it mate

You've got plenty of weight over ya front wheels with that massive lump under the bonnet, try re-locating some of the cars parts into the flat bed get some more even weight distribution, rather than adding unnecessary weight. You could be daring, and fabricate some kind of spoiler over the back wheels but thats hard to pull off on a caddy, it will be hard to make it look right...
just some ideas anyway, if it was me, id be trying to get the radiator and intercooler and other bits and bobs into the back end.
