I've been following this thread from the start and I just have to say, absolutely awsome skills. It always amazes me that people with such skills think nothing of grabbing some bits of material and making everything from scratch.
I do however have a question (please don't take it as a criticism) but wasn't the idea at the start of this project to make a track toy??? I'm puzzled by the decision to replace manky looking lightweight plastic bottles with heavy stainless ones, likewise with the fuel tank there was a lot of heavy guage pipework going in there as with most other places.
Do you know how much the finished product is likely to weigh and will it still be nimble enough to throw round a track.

P.S. keep up the good work, I admire all the effort that is going into this beast.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?

inice one pal , i have a few reasons really , i know usely poeple go for light weight vechicals , but basicly because of the mk1 golf is very flimsy on chassi so i had to beef everything up ,,and as i hasd a feew spare bits of steel i got a bit carried away tbh lol , but if u been or seen vides of these when the boost comes in ull need all the tracksion u can get , ie engine weight to make them tyres stick and rear weight (counter balance /for the back axle for rwd grip and weight /

god im fed up , this ecu has started playing up yet again , as im runing low inpendance injectors ,the ms unit has a built in curcit to make them run , as im sure its gone faulty due to major over fuel and dosent matter what i try to do ,its missing and smokeing like a deisal , so i may have to bypass this and run high inpendance ,,

then while tuning the spark and fuel maps , the engine started smoking badly , i thought the worst .but found the problem which was the turbo oil feed hole was too big (8mm ) which was bypassing the turbo seals so added this one

and also fitted a 90 elbow too , so thats sorted that problem out , no smoke , lol

then got the laptop back on the go to find , my air tempture not working so went hunting at the local scrap to find one , made a new therd and fitted and works a dam treat too ,,

(all these little things do help trust , just awaiting now to try a new ms part , if i get no luck il thow some high inpedance inejctors in , fingers crossed one or the other sorts the problem ,,
