Pictures up soon but it looks pretty standard.
It's a CL, not a GL (first car, needed something cheap) so very basic stuff. The only 'extra' was central locking.
If it survives my tour of the country for new settlement then I might head down to a breakers yard for electric window setup but not sure if it's worth it... will decide later on. More importantly at the moment it needs some professional paintwork, but this looks to cost more than the car. When tackling a few scratches, small rust spots etc using VW's own paint some parts have come out more vibrant than the sun bleached blue while some are just not as shiny as the original paintwork. If you know anyone who can respray and remove a few dinks for a shoestring (literally) let me know

I've built in remote locking, have remote start as an option (but chose not to install it for insurance purposes) and new sound system. Just demolished the parcel shelf to remove the sub box from the boot for more space. I won't bother with aircon. The UK just doesn't warrant it in unit and fuel consumption.
I have a manual license, but this deal came up with my local garage and couldn't resist (didn't check the insurance band first)
The auto is actually not bad, the ECU flicks between normal driving and sporty driving depending on accelerator use and has the kickdown so I have pretty much the same control as a manual but without the extra arm movements. When it's cold it sometimes hesitates with extreme pedals... almost as if to say 'Are you sure you want to be doing that?' but once it's warmed up (5ish mins of driving), it's very responsive. It's enough to **** off annoying overtakers when they drive up my rear end and then try taking the lead in a dangerous place... but don't tell my insurance company I do that
