Converting 4x100 alloys to 5x100
« on: 03 February 2009, 15:52 »
Just seem some alloys on edition 38 that have been redrilled from 4 to 5 stud. Two of the holes are untouched the other 3 cross over and are then filled. I can't see alot of info on this subject so was wondering is it safe?

Why bother, lot more choice in 4x100 than 5x100 or just use adaptors.

my cars running 5x100 and you can't get 4x100 to 5x100 adapters. choice of 5 stud wheels is also pretty poor

Didn't realise there was a shortage of decent styles in 5x100. I was considering changing to 5x100 from my mk3 to utilise the bigger brakes on my mk2. So would you say stick with the 4x100 256mm?

Have you tried having a skek @ http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/? Gives you fair amount of info even if you don't buy from them.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
