what does this do/ what isit for?
« on: 28 January 2009, 21:19 »
hi guys i was putting in my hid's today ( i know some of you dont like them lol upgraded wiring for lights n so on) but i got these dirt cheap so couldnt resist! well obviously theres a problem, the lights on low beam turn on but both wont stay on for longer then 30 seconds but will flicker! sometimes one will turn off quicker! then theres going straight to high beam and they work perfectly fine! im guessing a ground connection maybe?

second thing is what does this connection do? i found this on both end of the lights but it wasnt connected to anything before or after i upgraded from original hella lights to fk crystals?

thanks guys

Might be foglight connectors.

Stick those on your car, permanently on with the HIDs to look a cumplete cont.

hahahahah i was waiting for one of these comments

well to put your mind at rest im not one of those conts (mind the spelling) that drives around with fog lights on unnecessarily, like i said i only put em on cos i got them dirt cheap!

my fog lights are already connected and its not that! the other connector in my hand is for the other smaller bulb in the light but i need to change the connector type for that so it fits the light!

any one else got any ideas apart from the headlight adjusters (good point though, gonna have to go check that out)

met some muppet with nasty hid's fitted this evening,   when you cant see anything just drive at the lights they soon get the message.  (  works best  with a big van, think  all forms of large 4x4  with bullbars will also do trick )

all the VW's have gone bar 1.
