Got a problem with my 1.8T.....only had it a week and driven it twice :embarassed:
I turned the engine on and got three beeps followed by 'STOP! CHECK COOLANT SERVICE MANUAL' message on the dash.
The message goes straight away and doesn't re-appear whilst driving, only on start up.
The car seems fine, doesn't seem to be over heating. I took the car for a steady drive of about 10-15 miles keeping a steady eye on the temp gauge and it never went above 90 degrees.
Brought the car back home, turned the engine off and let it cool down a bit. Turned it on again on the drive and it's not showing the message anymore !?!
I've checked the coolant level and it seems to be sitting in-between MIN & MAX in the expansion globe/bottle so that looks ok to me.
What temp does the Rad fan normally kick in ? Cant say I heard the fan working whilst driving but to be honest I wasn't listening out for it.
I wanted to check the fuses incase the Rad fan isn't working but cant seem to work out which one it should be....I thought F16 but that doesn't appear to be a working fuse socket on my car (ie: no internals)
Any ideas ?
