« on: 24 January 2009, 17:22 »
i have a problem that started on thursday i could do with help with
driving to work power kept dropping out from my h/u when i turned heaters or rear demister on and off
it would come back after a few seconds and then drop off again so i took front panel off to stop it so was wondering what you guy think it could be other than wiring as it has been ok for over 12 months

Loose connection, or battery/ alternator are on the way out which would sound a bout right as its cutting out when you turn on more stuff.

i sorted it and couldnt believe the bodge
someone had taken a switched live from the fog light switch and used one of those connectors with screws in them a big one too and the other end was bare wire twisted and shoved into the bullet connector on hu wiring then squeezed connector a bit and wrapped some tape round it
so basically had a live wire that wasnt far from flapping about around back of dash
