Im a pikey and dont have highline :(

OK then. Try locking, unlocking (without opening a door) and relocking. They should go straight off. Well, they do on mine.

yeah thats all you have to do, lock the car as normal, unlock once then relock again they will go off straight away.

....

I want to do the opposite! I want them to stay on longer so I can see when putting my ramps away in my garage in the dark (rented and no electric power).

I have Midline 'puter.

Yes I know you can do that, but I dont want to do that lol, I just want to lock the car and the lights to go off, cant be too much to ask can it. Was just wondering if anyone had turned it off with VAGCOM.

I will get Rhyso to look at it next weekend for me :) Thanks in advance mate haha ! :D

yes, I have VagCom and you can turn it off. I have turned my coming home option off but left the leaving home on.  You simply uncheck the COMING HOME function under the 09 central electrics options. Its dead easy to find and obvious when you see it in VagCom.

Yes, but can you change (extend) the length of time for these lights, please?

Leaving home lights?

....I don't know what they're called - The lights which stay on for a short (too short) time when you first lock and leave your car.

I thought they where the walk me home lights (which is what im talking about). synnea said he turned his coming home option off (which to my understnading is when you get out the car and lock it the lights stay on for x amount of time) but left the leaving home on. Not sure what the latter is.

Im getting myself confused.

....Then "Coming Home" lights sounds like what I want to extend the amount of time on.

However, someone on another forum has suggested those 'stick-on one-hit LED light sticks' on the garage wall. I'd like my Coming Home lights to stay on longer anyway.

comming home lights is the function were you leave the light switch in auto position and it keeps the light on for x amount of time when you get out and lock the door
(if you dont want this to happen simply turn the light switch to off )

leaving home lights are simply activated when you unlock the car, this cannot be turned off even with the light switch left in off/non-auto position.

unless u have a vagcom i assume.
