Hi Ian

no worrys mate the n249 mod just basically diverting vacuum from the fuel pressure reg (fpr) into your dv valve having done the basic i decide that the vacuum resovoir may as well be completely removed and another tee piece put into the vac line and the vac pipe tee"d into that the original pipe to the top of the dv valve is blanked off and iirc the vac resovoir is used with the esp/asr function just stores/creates the vacuum from the dv valve in doing the mod its just taking the vacuum straight from the frp to the dv one of the reasons in doing this is to overcome the slight "hesitancy" when accelerating on std/mapped cars in doing this it can/does cure the issue

Hi, i have done this mod, are you not supposed to block the old dump valve line or does it not matter either way? Just that your still using the N249 valve this way surely?

Hi, the pipework n vac side of the n249 are removed but iirc there is some sort of electrical sensor within the system which is left as it is,blocking the old dv line doesnt matter as such as you run a vac line from your fpr

toph's tip of the day.. be very careful when tapping into the vac from the FPR, make sure everything is TIGHT and secure before you fire the engine up. Leaking fpr vac = lean running = detonation = byebye pistons.
