i want to put the engine / box / subframe the lot into my car

BUT my car is a 1989 car so is it going to be a lot more wiring work ??

Depends if you have a late or early '89

Mine has the post 90 spec wiring (emergency light on column)

if your using the mk3 dash, just wire the whole car with mk3 goodies imo, will mean a full strip down of the car (but as you doing that anyway what difference does it make

you only have to worry about 2 looms anyway, and with a decent manual its simple to splice the mk2 and ce1 together.

You not just gonna drive it over to Holland and rip it apart there?

would it not be easier to use the vr fusebox and change the plugs over from your old loom for things like lights and dash switches etc

oh and phil your making a good decision you will love it
