flameing ABF FAIL now with photos

umm  was engine box in the end,  just looked/ felt like diff fail

yup,   02c passat g60 syncro thing  :sad: .  have a spare at least but it's engine out job also some wireing loom to repair

No jokes my 2 cousins set a dry bush area on fire and they tried pissing on it to put it out  :grin: We still mock and ridicule them now  :laugh:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Thats a real pisser! (Sorry! :embarassed:) But just glad the rest of the car didn't go up and take you with it! I think I will invest in a fire extinguisher when I get home!

Haha, that could be a very unwise move, I dont think Id get the old tool out to save it, would be out of action for weeks! And a different colour hahaha

I heard it was the motor that was the FAIL candidate.....

on much closer examination  the motor has launched a rod out the back side of the block.  from number 4 cyl  right inline with the exhaust and also right by the transfer case hence makeing it look like oil was pissing from that,  also been semi paranoid about transfer case fail  dosen't help.

the question i'm asking myself is  WTF  was glowing down there,   i know the exhaust glows very well under the heat wrap but din't look like that at the time.  anyway  will know much more tomorrow, Tools are back at home and car is in garage  so few hours in morning and engine and box will be out,   tempted to fit spare gearbox anyway.

that piston looks slightly mispalced



the head seems to have survived  but would need 2 new valves to use it again,  so will be doing that and use it as a spare or chop in for porting or something at some point
