instead of the normal 225mm diameter our are the larger 240mm diameter - plus they have to cop with a lot of torque - as much as 50% more than the equivalent petrol engine

Indeed, plus you will probably need a flywheel and the labour to have it fitted.

yeah i forgot to mention that price i quoted included a new flywheel, release bearing and the labour to ft it

Well thats just put me off..... How much are clutches fitted?

for our engines approx £900 - not cheap but worth every penny!

and the rest  £550 for a clutch - £250 flywheel (£450 if you go VW) - release bearing + fitting around £200+
worth it tho

Also you'll want new brakes as the standard ones are poo

well if people did a little research then they'd know the price i quoted wasn't just for the clutch.  But then people are lazy............
