Whay does ARL engine mean???

no it wont our 150pd had 166000 miles on it with the original clutch it didnt have a remap though

I take it the OEM petrol clutch can take the map as the torque increase isn't as much as the diesel?

yep it can

think Rich had his mapped at 65K and has just recently replaced at approx 120K so quite good going.  A lot also depends on driving style too - labouring the engine etc will shorten the lifespan considerably

Cool - our clutch has been changed in the last 12 months (original lasted 166k!).  The majority of the use is up and down the M1/A52, it's only when I get the keys does it get ragged!

well if its only done motorway mileage then no wonder its lasted that long lol

mine lasted about 3K after the remap    thats the power of the derv though
