im after some speakers to upgrade the originals in my mk3, i want them to be able to bolt straight in and for my gf to be none the wiser!!! haha!!

any ideas what to look out for and prices?

17cm/6.5 inch components pretty much anything will fit straight in

Check out any of the ICE websites! This forum has a hook up with Caraudiodirect for free delivery!

But Infinity's are good as well as JBL or Alpine. Whatever really that suits your budget.

I used to use Infinity but find them a bit bright and harsh.  Now have Rainbow comps in my Mk3 doors. Sound the business...

ok wa headunit do u av? go to this website http://www.bassjunkies.com/index.php?pid=32236&show=expand_image&PHPSESSID=8544f90d296d9f175f11a345296b63f5 dont buy from them thoe they kinda rip of, go 4 jbls they real good as i got jbls in my car n the sound is great if u gota alpine headunit, try that link. all depends on what you willin to spend. iv herd vibes r good as ther bo0m boxes r real good n bassy2 but jbl jl audio o vibes all good. u wank 6.5" myt need to do a minor mod to the edges to get the standard grill on

theres no way jbl's and original grilles will fit!! (Mine are jbl p-series.....and there not very flush fitting speakers!!). oh and infinity far out perform jbl's (there the same company..jbl is the more budget range)
