Sounds like a slave tuner to me who buys files in from a generic master suppy, which aint too bad in most cases, but do they have a PC back ground or car tuning background?
There are lots of tuners out there who used to be or still are computer geeks (

)and aint got a clue what a MAF is or what boost the remap should run at, what fuel to air ratios should be and knock sensor is.
Any one can buy a mapped file and remap a car, just look on ebay for KWP2000.
If the guy has a automotive back ground he can flash the remap and make sure the car is 100% before taking money and sending you on your way. If there is a fault with the car and it is not found the remap could cause even more damage.
To find a good tuner you need to ask the right questions, like "Have you had any problmes with cars after the remap" a good tuner should say "YES" " The rubber in the DV can split and cause boost issues, so I sugest an uprated DV from Forge" or "The coil packs and MAF could become an issue after a remap" Or even ask about stage 2 remapping.
I tell all my customers to be prepared to issues after the remap, and I can name every bloody one of them..lol I some times spend over 1 hour on the phone to my customers explaining about remapping and past problems which DO crop up after remapping.
If your not 100% confident with the company then look else where.
