Thanks for the info, It's going in on the 23rd Sept so i'll see if I can have the service scheme swapped.

OK.  If the muppets at the stealers are unable to change the service regime, then you can change it yourself to T&D.
how ? Or do you mean just getting it done yearly

If you started off on LongLife, and you are comming up to its first LongLife servic, then just ask the stealer to carry out the 2yr/20k Inspection service, but advise them you want to change onto T&D (so they set the SID correctly).  :nerd:

If, for some reason, they cant change it to T&D, maybe because you have a lease car, or are on a maintentance plan which only included LongLife - then let them do the service as normal, and then when you collect the car afterwards, manually reset the service interval yourself.   There is a sticky (by the Doc) in the maintenance section which tells you how.

Does that make sense?

  • Hello
I'm now a happy bunny, rang a VW dealer closer to home and they said £150 all in, rang back to the 1st dealer to negotiate or cancel and they could not match so I cancelled. It's now going in this Friday.
The only downside is I'm not going to get the rack and paint done at the same time, they want to check it out first and start the process again.

£113 saved thanks to my chums on the forum, thanx again.
