iv installed a sub with amp and power cap. works fine for about 20 mins then the bass gets deepper by its self and then cut the sub out. some times it comes back on and other times it dont. any idears???

Sounds like the amp is going into protection.
Correct impedance? Gains set too high?

Agreed with the above.
Also, Make sure you have a good earth too as this will cause the amp to go into protect mode. Use sand paper if necessary to freshen up the earthing point.
Loose the powercap too, the system will work better.

^^^ As above, I wouldnt even consider a power cap untill your amp was well past 1000 watts

the amp is 1200w and the sub is 1000w but i might run 2 1000w sub off it

Are they RMS figures or peak. If they are peak they mean nothing.
Still loose the powercap.

yea got rid of then power cap thanks for that. just needs some fine tuning now and ill b happy. thanks every 1
