It sounds to me as if he knows little about these engines, if it were me I'd ask him to flash the standard map back onto your car and refund you the money.

Almost no point doing it unless he turned up the wick

On the flip side he has done somethings correctly. Some tuners just whack up the boost and forget about everything else
