Hi.
My 2010 GTD has developed an annoying fault. The mid-range (1,000-2,500rpm) is rather flat and then the turbo kicks in. I also get a warning from the engine, so out comes VCDS!
My local garage want to charge a fortune to looking at the car, so I thought I'd ask the opinion of you guys before I drop some cash.
As I understand it, the issue can be one or all of the following:
- boost pressure pipe come off (but turbo does work at high revs)
- boost pressure pipe leaking (plausible, as higher pressure makes turbo work?)
- boost actuator faulty (again, can it work 'some of the time'?)
- wastegate sticky
- some other sensor?
The error is as follows:

Is there any quick check I can do to try and see what the issue might be? I like to be an informed customer and may even be able to do the work myself.
Thanks a lots,
Sam
