Mine came with the standard 30pin iPhone/iPod lead which is great as i have an iPhone 5...

Can you not just connect the iPhone 5 via Bluetooth Audio? Is it easy? Have you tried?

This is exactly what i do. However it would have been good for charging. Not a problem now the dealer has supplied the USB lead too.

Thats good to hear. Does it play quickly and smoothly from your iPhone 5?

The phone function works perfectly. The audio quality is fantastic, however for some strange reason i have no control over the audio functions apart from the volume via bluetooth. To select an artist/playlist i have to select it on the iPhone itself. I have read other people have had this issue with other bluetooth ICE.

Can you not scroll through tracks using the buttons on the steering wheel?

I can do that yes. But that is about it. It will only control the current album/playlist/artist you can't choose to listen to another artist for example. You have to manually select it on the phone first. Most frustrating.

Sorry to raise this again, but has anyone solved the issue with regard to changing album, artist etc through Bluetooth connectivity? I think its crazy to have change the album on the actual phone. When I attempt to change anything through the centre console I just get the message "Bluetooth audio device, no track list available" . Driving me up the wall now!

Hi Guys,

Anyone know if you just use the standard MDI USB lead, and plug in the iPhone lightning USB cable, does this charge and play music, or does it not recognize it?

Alternatively, has anyone got a legit VW Lightning cable?

On the build week 45 cars these were coming as standard, but no VW dealers I've spoken to seem to think they can order them separate.
