yep you got it, vw didnt fit copper pipe as standard

part you need is 251 965 561 B, 100 from VW. maybe ring up your ford dealer, i bet the galaxy VR6 still had these pumps on and it'll be way cheaper from ford than vw!

with some searching apparently 0 392 020 024 is the bosch number, and you can get them for 16.77 from a local bosch dealer

us ebay:

Where did you find it for £16.77? I haven't found anywhere that even gets close :embarassed:

Try your local Bosch agent

I've been trying all morning, including local Bosch dealers, and the price seems to come out at £100.
I found the post that you found in the seatcupra.net forum but the guy doesn't really follow it up later so I have my doubts:-

I'm going to concentrate on getting the MOT on it and then I'll address this problem later, in the meantime I'll get an ebay search going and see if one comes up cheap

At least I now know what the connector is for and yet another example of how this poor old cooling system has been through the mill

Yeah, I've got a couple in mind to try tomorrow. They are en-route to GSF and I have to go back there tomorrow as the exhaust parts that they ordered for me don't match up so they've had to reorder.
