Can't you get a FULL aftermarket re-trim for about £800? I got the leather otion with my Mk5 GT. It's a nice touch but no way is it worth the £1700 price tag.
I can see why the guys ordering the Golf R would go for it though, with the white bolsters of the standard seats.
