front speaker amp earthing
« on: 29 July 2007, 09:13 »
i want to amp up my front door component speakers as my HU doesnt give them what they want! im unsure as to where to site an amp and earthing screws are probably an issue i need to consider.

could anyone tell me where there is an easily accessible earthing screw i can earth my amp lead to?

i will probably mount it under the shelf below the glove box. or in the glovebox itself.

cheers
j

or handbreak or bonnet release catch. there is always a few places, just wire it all up and leave the earth until the end and then find a place that works.

just make sure its clean metal and it should be fine. try and get it to be on like a main part of the car, like the earthing block metioned above ( if you have one?!) or the handbrake, rather than like through a panel or a welded joint or something.
