Wadding is always good in the tight corners. Plus at the back to deaden the bounce off hard surface.

Wadding can be useful if you have a sealed box - it gives the effect of a larger enclosure, but you only want to do this if your enclosure is too small (in volume) for the driver.

Wadding should be kept to a minimum in a ported box, to keep the path clear between driver and port.

just dont stuff it too tight and you will be fine, rip apart some old teddy bears if you come across any, its the same stuff (ing!). or they sell it on ebay for cheap.

dont bother doing it on a ported box. it is designed with a proper port width/length in mind given the enclosure size and air volume. putting any material in the box would just have an adverse effect...it doesnt really make that great a difference with sealed boxes.

Home HiFi speakers have ported designs, they always have wadding inside them.
Sound does not like hitting hard angles. whereas speaker boxes have right angles and corners!
So yes it is worth using wadding.

"Home HiFi speakers have ported designs, they always have wadding inside them."

Thats because they are designed as such. If the manufacturer designed the box needing additional padding, they would have done so.

Go to talkaudio mate and they'll all give you a good concise answer.

If you have studied and built HiFi speakers like I have maybe you wouldnt believe everything you read!

basic sound dynamics - sound bounces off hard surfaces! Think about echoes!
