short shift

which bit of the gear linkage is repalced by a short shift kit?

I've seen loads on ebay (various prices), but can't work out what they replace to shorted the shift!

If someone can provide a pic of the bit hat is replaced, I'm sure I'll be able to get ad adjustable one made.

There are 2 ways of doing it, 1 way is to remove the part that is bolted to the gearbox, and shorten it and bend  to a right angle, the other is to extend the large lever on the bracket bolted to the steering rack :)

the ones you can buy on the bay, which bit do they replace?

depends which type you get :grin:

Normally the ones you get on ebay either replace the lever on the rack mount bracket, or attach on the end:
