PP or CS discs and pads on a standard spec Mk7?

As above. i recently picked up a Mk 7 GTI (non PP) and it feels to me like the brakes are somewhat lacking in grunt. The intial bite is fantastc but they don't inspire much confidence thereafter and when you are flying they just don't feel up to the job. I've always owned lightweight sports cars and/or cars with serious brakes so fancy doing something to improve mine. The Golf feels like a heavy car which needs some good stopping power. So my question is are the PP discs bigger and would I need to swap out the existing calipers to fit the PP/CS discs (I suspect yes but wanted to check if anyone on here knows first). It also messes with my OCD that the current discs have slightly corroded hubs which clash with my immaculate new Belvedere wheels so they have to go!

Paint your hubs. It seems to be a common problem

PP/CCS/R al use 340mm discs & 60mm single piston sliding fist callipers, on the front & bigger vented discs on the rear
Your GTI (non-PP) will have 312mm discs with 57mm piston callipers on the front, & non-vented on the rear..
best upgrade is to swap calipers & disc on front for Audi TT-S 340mm setup with uses 4pot ATE calipers..

they do sell the calipers on their own..
Or get the Porsche Macan 4 pot Brembo which are really made for 345mm discs

Thanks fellas. So if I wanted to keep it OEM and stick to standard GTI equipment i've need to swp the discs and calipers? Assume the two piece 340mm are the same as regular with the exception of being two piece?
