Lol, wish I had the confidence to change the belt my self, I would have attempted it on the starlet as it was non-interfernace so unlikely to bend any valves! I don't wanna risk messing it up on this, I'd litrally cry, save up some money and do a 1.8T conversion.  - Thought I really want to keep it as a 1.8 16V sounds fairly nice!

haha, yer ill have to sign em for ya !

I do like it really, just trys my patience when it looks like im doing something for an hour and came out not solving nothing lol

You should put in a 2.0l for a bit more power mate, cant wait till get mine running properly up top end, its not slow atm!

The 1.8t arnt the most exciting engine to drive though, i do prefer my valver to my 1.8t :D

Lol im exactly the same, takes me ages to get things done, I go have a crack at it for ages (few hours) come in have a tea, sit down and think through another route (then it gets dark) I give up and sometimes try another day :D The 306 GTI-6 took me like 3 hours to get the lambda sensor changed was like jam tight! then when taking the car down off the axel stands my jack failed and almost took my arm off! bad times, I'm quiet a hazzard working on my cars, anyone elses I seem to do a bloody good job :)

Only if you were paying someone else for a turn key effort.

Seen it done for less, mind you I've also seen spun bearings :lipsrsealed:

There's a good thread on here with loads of links to geek out over  re. 'charging your 16v.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
