Idle speed high

1)Check auxillary air valve; where is this and how do I check it?
Ensure that it is closing.

2)Vacumm leaks; - I know how to check for these.
Self explainatory.

3)Check the minimum air; not as self explanitory as it seems!
Self explainatory.

(I'm a bit of a K-jet noob tbh)

Hint most of that is connected to your airfilter box internally and externally!

LOL  Yeah but once you get it running sweet you will never look back!
You haven't seen mine? It's in bits and I know it will NOT run right afterwards, untill I tinker with her, so talk to her, she will listen soon or later!

There is a reason why they call it a engineers car!
In my mind when I was a kid I knew nothing, but I know my cars inside and out and TBH if you do a job yourself its done to the letter because you're scared of screwing it up, this means the job was done right you just have to grow a pair and get on with it, but hey to me problems with cars are fun.

Cheers for that buddy :) I'll attempt most things on my cars, one thing I won't touch is the timing belt which I need to get done as the guy before said he had no idea when it was last done so worth doing!  - Any know if these engine's are interferance or non-interferance ? :)

16V timings are more important get it wrong and it will run like a bucket of spanners in your block!
Top tip cut half of the timing belt slip over the new one tension up, cut off remaining belt and your done!
Remember to keeping an eye on the flywheel markers on the gear box aswell!!!
