Title: Strong Smell (Again)
Post by: MoshiMoshi on 31 March 2014, 21:04: Whenever I've been driving the car for a period of time (say 20 minutes on the M4) and then come to a stop, the car stinks of rich fuel. Properly stinks. I'm getting a 17705 and a 17545 (fuel trim bank 1 too rich or something). Any ideas on the cause of this?

I'm thinking: Dodgy MAF? Boost Leak? Problem with my Forge DV?

That I believe is a lambda problem (I was getting the same on the vRS)

Your 17545 code http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/17545/P1137/004407 as wayne has said a lambda problem this is one of the faults to throw that code up

What I thought. How much do you reckon a garage will want for a pressure/ smoke test of the whole PCV and intake system?

Post by: Nino on 03 April 2014, 07:16: Id just like to add i keep getting the 17550 code only and i too am getting a strong fuel smell from time to time. I think i know what is causing the code im just not having the time to work o it what with work etc.
