Right I need to loose 3.3 stone to be on the race weight. I haven't got 3.3 stone of fat so how do you loose muscle?
I'm 104kg in race clothes and helmet and need to be 84.
Ive got a diet to loose fat and iv been body building for 4 years now. No matter what I do in the gym I always pump up which can't be good?
Iv been doing cv then very light weights and loads of reps, all non stop to keep the heart rate up.
Should I be cutting out the weights altogether?
Would love some weight loss tips
I only know how to get big

Don't go near a gym. Get a decent pair of running shoes and hit the road/country side. Run every other day for like 5-6 miles and you will strip savage amounts of fat. Yea your legs will be getting a good work out but not in the way as if you went to the gym and did a legs session.
Oh and Thermabol. Maximuscle tablety things, they basically just keep your metabolism going 24/7.
Oh and BTW that is ALOT of weight to lose...you will look a totally different person.
What category are you racing in? Why not just enter the one you can enter at your weight ATM?
-
Run, run and run some more....and some ephedrine.
No weights.
-
forest gump style  keep on running

Liquid diet... 54lbs in 9 weeks :lipsrsealed:

Haha so no weights just running
I ain't gonna do a liquid diet. I ain't that fat. How ever I am starting a body building competion diet to get lean :lipsrsealed:
I'm racing tkm extreme karts. And It's a good field of drivers. There all bang on the weight well they have lead on their karts to get up to weight lol
So run run run and my muscle will drop off too? I was benching 140kg at four reps. I find it hard to bench 100kg now so I am shrinking already.
Cheers lads

Bingo!
I quit smoking just before I went to uni, I ended up putting on 6 stone!
I've lost 3 stone since I started smoking again!

just to add... do not eat anything after 7pm on an evening. and make sure you eat as soon as you are up in the morning. do not skip meals as this makes your body store excess fat also.
-
Drink nothing but tropicana and sh!t yourself thin
-
Muscle weighs more than fat. To lose muscle, it needs to be broken down. Basically starving yourself as your body will break down muscle preferentially over fat. Low protein diet will help. Lose enough muscle and you won't be able to walk, let alone run.
I personally wouldn't advocate going to the above extremes.
-

None of this is true, ignore it

It is true lol
Ok so run like the wind, chain smoke, Not eating, but eat in the morning.
Sounds easy lol cheers
-
No, it really isnt.
Eating after 7 is a myth, your body wont store it as fat. Plenty of scientific studies which disprove it. All studies done that showed fat was stored after 7/8pm was done on people already in a state of starvation.
It takes over 24 hours of not eating to get into a state of starvation, skipping meals wont do anything
You dont need to eat breakfast either, this wont cause you store fat, another myth
-
Cardio in a state of depletion will eat fat and muscle. Do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. Eat 'good' carbs such as brown rice and pasta and cut back on protein. Eat healthy fats also and reduce your water intake to about 2 litres a day.
You should work out your macronutrient goals based on your calorie intake for the day. I would say around 1800 calories a day would be enough at your size to keep your energy up and help lose weight (fat and muscle) healthily.
-
eat small regular meals at a set time each day, the 7pm is a myth but the breakfast rule is a hard fact.
6 small meals per day and your body knows its geting a regular supply so doesnt store it as much.
losing muscle, eat less protein, keep training, weights will still burn calories as well as cardio but keep your protein low so you dont bulk. if your not a fan of running then just do long walks, there actually better for just losing weight (fat and non fat)

Where are you getting your info from? I would like a read.

Eating small amounts more often is better as it keeps your metabolism on it's toes. Ideally you should be eating small amounts (like a piece of fruit, or a very small meal) on an hourly basis. One of the things my girlfriend's dad taught me is that to lose weight fast you need to change your metabolism rate, and no better way of doing so by doing the above.
And just to back you up tweed, and others, no carbs after 7pm!
I need to lose the xmas and holiday weight I put on. Just before I jetted off to Brazil in November I was 80kg, I'm now 84kg
Have you considered Rotax Max 177 tweed? I was considering it, minimum driver weight is 85kg and minimum kart and driver weight is 177kg, rather than 162kg for Rotax Max. Problem is because it's more limited there's less competitiveness, hence why I decided Senior Rotax Max.
-
80kg is skinny
I'm 85kg and only 5ft 9

I'm 5ft 11.9" (6ft ), but I'm aiming for 74kg, there abouts. Thing is I've always had a bit of a belly, even when I was weightlifting hard. If I lose the belly, that'll be my mission complete. Need to start cycling and running, and doing it religiously!

Wow, this is like a thread full of women.
Eat less, act like a normal person.
Done.

or another option would be to travel into the forest of dean on a friday night
walk into a pub and shout "which one of you inbred thingys shot my bear" all the possible outcomes from this involve you looseing weight :)

So many myths in this thread. Broscience at its best. Next you will be telling me you have a 20 minute window of protein after a workout

No carbs at night is still not 100%, though as long as you hit your goals through the day (carb wise) you would not need any at night, if you had not then the carbs you consume will be used as its within your macros. Carbs do not magically turn to fat at night, you still burn off calories and require food while you sleep. While its best to not consume all your carbs at night (proven to be bad for you) its fine to consume carbs.
I have gained 1.5 stone in 4 months, dropped body fat and increased muscle. I miss breakfast all the time, eat 3 times a day and consume carbs at night if its required to hit my calorie/macro goals. Wonder how many people in this thread practise what they preach and have had gains from it

For every site with "facts" there is another one that says the complete opposite.
The above is true because it something I have used and stuck to over a 12 week period and seen the results. If you dont buy it because a lab tells you otherwise then dont.... but dont stop others taking on good advice.
My best mate and training partner studied this stuff for years and has over 200 clients using his services. The results speak for themselves. Hows that for broscience

You mention your weight. How much body fat are you carrying? Most people like to talk about how much weight they have but never mention how much fat % they have. This shows the muscle they really have.
It seems that you could possibly lose quite a bit of fat due to the fact that you say your strength has decreased recently. If you were a lean 100kg, this wouldnt neccessarily happen.
Just because you pump up, it doesn't mean you are getting and bigger, its mainly just a feeling that will subside after a few days.
Diet is the most important part of training. Control that, and you may get to your target (depending on many factors including genetics). But losing 20kg will take a while, so as mentioned earlier, you may do best to find another class of racing.

Thanks a lot!! Lot of good info here
Think body fat is about 11/12% so only got about 6/7% to loose. And I have had enough of body building now. Don't get enough enjoyment out of it.
My main goal is to get down to the weight, then new goal is to win races  I will stay in this class as I will eventually be on weight. Loosing will only make me get small faster.
I have two bikes already but ain't had them out for a year. Think il get the identiti dr jekyll out as I use that for dirt and have a single speed on it. Should keep the heart going.
Thanks I think I know what to do now. Cheers for the info and help

I'm 5.10 and weigh 17 stone 4. But there is no fat.
That's a strange one. Iv never had to loose muscle before. That is a lot of weight to loose mate. And if you don't have alot of fat to loose the weight it's going to be hard. As already said. Run. And also get yourself an exersize bike for when your at home watching tv.
Get some winstrol down ya neck

Its scientific fact, not some site. Its the US main medical site  The opposing sites are with people in fasted states, non athletic people or some other small percentage in a certain state. The above is done with people living healthily and working out. Show me the opposite facts please, as i have provided mine
12 weeks!!!! Must know what your are talking about then :lipsrsealed:
This is a first, a personal trainer giving out broscience, the only thing that could happen is their results take longer and he gets more money.....oh wait :lipsrsealed:

I believe this to be true. Because when I was training to get big. I never had breakfast skipped meals and never had a protein shake after a work out. And I did very well.

lol i have been weight lifting for a good few years now every since i was into kickboxing and i have always been natuaraly very stocky and broad even if i dont train. a mate of mine said mate i realy want you to try winstrol as with your build you could be huge. so i bought a 4 week course and lasted 3 days on them. made me feel rough and shakey. didnt like them at all. still got them in the cupboard

Like i said he is a close friend so doesnt charge me. As for his clients... they are provided with a plan to meet their goals within the timescale they desire. I dont see anyone complaining except yourself
The advise i gave was from personal experience. It was given as an addition to help the OP loose weight, not to weight train to put weight on.
Keeping a diet consistent and eating at regular intervals helps with metabolism and general healthy eating habits. I would very much like to see any sources you have on promoting the opposite.

Im currently in get fit mode for motorcross so need to do plenty of cardio work and low weights but high reps. Also read that losing muscle is not good if you wanna lose fat because the muscle burns off fat.

Well as what your trying to do isn't advisable anyway. You shouldn't mind some some bad ideas.
Go raving take xtc/Mdma dance like theres no tomorrow.

Only problem with that is though you will need puff for the comedown and will end up eating loads the afternoon on the following day

Dropping carbs all together worked for me i manage to drop 2 stone in about 3-4 months
-
Starvation mode.
don't eat carbs. at all
wheres your body going to get the energy. your fat... thats not enough, breaks down your muscle. but will do it quickly... you will get a swollen stomache, just like the children on the charity adverts.
O and please pm me your routine and diet you had for body building
Just make a post about it, would be interesting to most people I think, even just to tone up
-
FYI a body will metabolise muscle tissue before it gets to work on the fat.
Easier to break down and convert.
-
That’s why muscle weighs more than fat!
I shag anything that moves with a pulse that keeps me well trim!
Running 3K a day in a heat suit will make the weight fall off.
The trick with fat people is if you increase their metabolism once to a healthy level, the weight will keep off or come off easier in the future, down side you sweat constantly.

dont take this as a dig, its a genuine question, if you say youve dropped body fat and gained muscle, how do you know that youve gained 1.5 stone of muscle? also 1.5 stone of lean muscle in 4 months is a very bold claim.
i saw gains at the gym without breakfast but when i started taking am shakes i had a lot more energy and saw my pb's get higher.
i also did a strict diet for 4 month on a 6 meal per day and lost 3 stone of fat.
and now i went back to my old eating habits and ended up a fat c**t.
to op, have a look at ketosis diet, seeing as your already in low body fat % losing more fat will be more difficult than just losing weight

Always wondered why i sweat so much...
used to be a right podger when i was in secondary school... started gym 3 days a week, cycling, running about, walking home from gym 1.5mile, sometimes running a couple miles before school, got into shape.
Im abit podge now but having been doing anything... will start this year when i get my first wage packet
but explains my constant sweating!
When I was boxing at my peak I just had to wear a T shirt at a dinner somewhere and the sweat would just come its like your body starts to fuel itself at a higher rate. Plus loosing so much fat it means I was bloody cold all the time had no fat to keep me warm. Artic travellers will eat chunks of butter because the speed at which you burn natural stored fats in your body.
My diet consisted of
Tuna
Can strawberys
Pasta no sauce
Chicken breast no skin or sauce.
Eggs without yokes
Loads of teas so I didn't retain water.
Stick to these types of foods and watch the calories go down with heavy boxing cardio workouts!
All I can say to people is once you throw up after taking that leap of faith in yourself, its easy after that
