love public forums....quite new to this one but its great :grin:
love the way people get so heated on here about well....the slightest detail!!!
cars especially bring out the best/worst in people,the golf, probably one of the most famous,and in particular the mk3... people are SO passionate about them...and thats GREAT!!
SOME OF THE ARGUMENTS ARE VERY FUNNY!!!
even lack of sex,ciggys,bhp etc even gets bought into arguments.. :laugh:
well here is a new one to start....
why does my mk3 golf cabby get referred to as a GIRLS car when its basically the same with a mohair folding roof?
ITS MORE STYLISH...ADAPTABLE...AND WITH A FEW TWEEKS JUST AS STABLE!!
RED IS THE BEST COLOUR TOO,WHY BLEND INTO THE CROWD WHEN THIS LOVELY LOOKING CAR HAS PROBABLY HAD MORE TIME/LOVE THAN MOST OF THE MAINSTREAM?

I stay out of these threads as everyone knows best. but the main reason as I recall is location of the original build as early 90's is when VAG started building both the mk2 and then the mk3 in another country I think it was belguim hence the poorer quality steel. as seen both MK2 and MK3 from this trime either rusted away or solid as a rock. engine wise the 2e engine management is pretty much the same as the mk2 as if you look they have the same airflow metres as a pB all be it hidden in different airboxes I am sure thats right but a bit rusty as last time I could walk out into the yard and check on different golfs was 5 years ago now :cry: do miss it (f@cking enviroment agency) the AGG lump the management system that runs is sh!te. more sensors and the ecu return relay fault is down right dangerous cars cutting out at any speed in any situation with no pattern ffs. as a side note the agy although sorta the same as the AGG and only ran for around a year was much better but highier on emissions and as costs came into it with the US market why I believe the agg was developed

I have always believed that all mk2's and mk3's were built in Wolfsburg apart from Cabrio and the ones that were built in Mexico and SA.
Maybe I am wrong.

I dunno. Something not quite right with them, but can look good - ie Wills cabby. Bit intense though as a daily. Respect to him for using it as his main car though.

Mk3 or 3.5's are ghey! Partly because they had to go and do a 3.5!

I'm not a fan of any convertable. There are very very few cabrio's that a guy can get away with driving and the mk3 golf definately isn't one.
I'm not suggesting anything about sexuality, but guys just look strange in them. Same story as Ford Ka's, Vauxhall Tigra's and Toyota Yaris'. My first instinct when I see a guy driving is 'Must be his girlfriends car.' Admittedly, the VW is the best built of the above list... :grin: :grin:
I also don't like red cars.
