I maybe able to get hold of about 7-8 units for around £750 would any one be interested in these has you know these are the latest on the market and are going up in price all the time.
Richter sport are doing these for over £1500
Need to know very quickly so I can order the units before they go.

Hi Kev these are the latest version RNS510's with the LED screen's, I've got one in my car and they're far better than the B versions in my last GB and they are brand new units.

I had a look at Kevs link and it just looks the exact same apart from the new unit has a star whereas the old unit had a speaker and an i but both function as "voice control"

The speaker / i key already acts as the voice control and pushing the right knob already gives the last command so I guess the only difference is the brightness of the screen?
Although more responsive would be good.

No - you need to fit an external handsfree module.

I am interested if you can guarantee they are plug & play. I have the RCD510 at the moment (no shark fin on roof): is it just a case of out with the old and in with the new, or are there extra accessories, harnesses to buy and/or software to reprogram?

I fitted OEM bluetooth, iPod MDI, Aux in and a CD Changer for someone with an RNS-510 today and it really showed how good the RNS can be, so for me I would say it's work waiting for over an aftermarket system.
Like others have said you just won't get the great integration, easy of use and decent OEM fit and finish with an aftermarket system.

The LED Version is basically the same apart from it is a lot quicker upon start up and is instant when when scrolling through things etc,
Also they are backlit so they seem to be crisper aswell,
Ebay is a lottery, Darren tried several times to code in my old one in but it wouldn't have it, the unit itself works fine but not with the MFSW and also not showing up on the Highline,
He reckons to cure it it would need a new motherboard (about £300) so thats why i have sold it on to someone with the midline display,

not an LED one AM it was mine out of my car I sold mine to fund an LED one then sold that to Neil to fund other projects :wink:
It was just a B version that I had promised Jake in Denmark I would get it him ford meeting at the Ring but I couldn't get it sorted in time so let himm have mine :cry:

I have currently got a loan car with the latest LED version C RNS and can really notice the difference on the screen quality. More so on the reverse camera the image looks awesome :smiley:

That would certainly be worth having. Since I went from the RCD510 to the RNS I've noticed the camera was nowhere near as good probably because the image is so stretched and now fills the screen. But how would the LED help that unless the resolution has also changed?!?

^^^ Dont think the resolution has changed but the brightness and colour balance is much better.
I do know what you mean about the RCD looking better due to it now being stretch, when I retried an RVC to an R32 a couple of weeks back with an RCD it surprised me how much better it was.

yeh the screen is an higher res, if you watch a dvd you'll see the difference. Far faster than an rns that has been updated to this firmware aswell.
