It is but there's at least one charger kit available for them that puts them well into GTI beating territory. Mrs Horney's best mate has one (No charger though) and is a member of the ST Forum and I've been to a couple of their meets and some of them are right beasts.

Remap for GTi = laterz charger or no charger

I usually don't bother with people racing me---signs of aging. I usually let out my testosterone on a trackday or bedroom!

Its amazing the type of car you drive will attract a certain group of boy/man racer

911 or R8 attracts beemers mainly X5s, 330d or 5 series, Range rovers, Golf GTI MK5, Most Audi esp. S3
Golf Gti attracts Fords fiesta/focus esp. those with stripes, Vauxhall Astra, turbo diesels from beemers and audi

Recently I found Skoda drivers esp. those who got the vRS badge and Jaguar XF a bit on the racy side. I am yet to be challenged by anyone who drives a Merc!

Haven't driven a Ferrari yet. I assume it attracts all kinds!

I had one come screaming up behind me off a roundabout onto a dual carrigeway so IMO he was asking to be shown what real power is.  Never saw him again

Another one tried to pull away as i was overtaking - FAIL

Just for reference, I was driving a GTI, not a truck. He was not pulling away at corners, there's no where for me to pass. What I found nippy about his car is the way he went in and out of them, no-where did I say he was faster and at no point did I say it's all about straight line speed.

I swear to god some people are just pricks.

+1 a friend has a super charged Fiesta ST putting out over 270hp and it is QUICK it would eat a MK5/MK6 GTI for breakfast, lunch and dinner and keep spanking them all day.

Who in the right mind would want a f*****g fiesta sanitary towel anyways? Looks a right piece of s**t.

I personally hate Ford cars think it goes back to the late 60's early 70's when we had Ford cars, me and my brother had to sit in the back of these tin cans on fake leather seats in shorts with our a***s stuck to the hot seats, course those were the halcyon days of childhood when the sun shone every day!!!! not!

These days Fords are definitely better built but still look b****y awful, especially that ugly creature they call the RS!!!

Give me a Golf anyday, looks and class.

Doesn't sound cool does it, saying that you beat a Ford Fiesta.  Images of the old Mk1 come to mind for some reason when I think about Fiestas.

Beating a Focus ST or RS sounds more impressive.

Point 1 - a 21 year old with more money than sense and wants something different and 'stealthy because everyone thinks Fezza ST's are pants.

Point 2 - old skool Fords rocked.

For the money the Fezza ST is not a bad car.

Nice interior:

and looks good and agressive on the road:

Seeing as it cost nearly half what you pay for a GTI it's a good car. Put it up against the Polo GTI and it doesn't look quite so good but it was still a fair bit cheaper.

And I would be careful about build quality accusations. The number of posts on here about squeeks, leaks and dodgy paint are quite shocking not to mention miss builds etc.

Theres a white Fiesta that seems to drive same route home as me.
His a noob, and tends to cut in front of other drivers where the local road drops from 2 lanes into 1, then slams on! He tried that on an Q7 a few days ago, the guy in the Q7 pulled up in front of him at the lights further down blocking him from going forward, got out and had words\bollocked the lad in the ST who looked like he sh!t his pants!

The ST did a great job on a poor corsa today. The Corsa overtook him on the right lane just before the road merged (I was about 2 cars back following), the ST then accelatated up past on the inside, so the corsa ended up pulling back and behind when the road merged..... then the fiesta slammed on and almost made the corsa slam into the back. Nutter!  Only time before Mr. ST crashes or gets his face put in!
Sorry but younger Fiesta ST drivers seem to be a bunch of chav tossers who all seem to drive like dics cutting people up etc etc
