I had one come screaming up behind me off a roundabout onto a dual carrigeway so IMO he was asking to be shown what real power is.  Never saw him again

Very true. For some its all about straight line speed. Give me something that can take corners anyday... usually much more fun too.

Very true. For some its all about straight line speed. Give me something that can take corners anyday... usually much more fun too.

Just for reference, I was driving a GTI, not a truck. He was not pulling away at corners, there's no where for me to pass. What I found nippy about his car is the way he went in and out of them, no-where did I say he was faster and at no point did I say it's all about straight line speed.

+1 a friend has a super charged Fiesta ST putting out over 270hp and it is QUICK it would eat a MK5/MK6 GTI for breakfast, lunch and dinner and keep spanking them all day.

Yeah you can also put a jet engine on a skateboard and it will beat a GTi, but for faks sake it's a ford and he couldn't beat him stock
