diy spray painting, this time of year

my mk3 is in need of some bodywork tlc. the paint work is a bit poor and i want to go satin black.
what i want to know is, will it be o.k to spray this time of year.. i got a tidy sized garage to do it in, im just thinking of the temperatures and moisture in the air..
any ideas?

Try and get some heat in there if it is sealed nothing with a naked flame though and turn it off when you are painting, some people also say you should put the cans in warm water before painting to make them work better.

i`m using a spray gun and compressor.. lol
i got a small halogen heater if thats any good, cant really wait untill the summer as i am very impatient..lol

Just heat the garage up first with the car in it so the panels aren't cold.

cool... will do that, i may get a few heaters to warm the place up...

best thing to do is get your mix ready in the gun and hold it to the heater, get the paint warm in the gun really it is a fact of hotter the better are you using single k or 2k as it wont really matter if your doing base coat then laquer,also make sure you spray onto the wall or something first to release the pressure from heating it up as itll come out spitting.

word of advice dont warm the laquer up though as its constistancy will be like water and you wont have runs youll have gallops

wont be using laquer mate, it`s going to be satin black, so its just top coat isnt it?..
