Long shot, but is the wheel bearing ok, I would check that as a urgent 1st step.

Wheel bearing is fine, I had a look in there today. The only thing I can think of, is the 16v disc allows the wheel to be closer to the strut, but then again plenty of 16v's running 195 tyres.

288mm brakes?, if so they are the same on a 8v so should not matter.

Yup, hence why I'm confused as to why it's touching.

That is very odd then

Didn't have any problems with mine, but I had 195/45's :undecided:

Spacers should sort it, and look good too! :afro:

They didn't  :undecided:

Still rubs, not as much though. I checked camber and I have -0.34 on the side it's not touching and -1.38 on the side that is. So camber isn't the issue. Next step is to check wishbone, although the car doesn't pull to either side

£160 extra on top of the premium quoted.

Got some pics yesterday at the new forest

Thinking about it last night, there are a few things I'm not entirely happy about with the car.

1. I'd like to fill the arches, but keep the ride height the same (use on normal roads + level wishbones). I'd also like to keep 15" alloys, but it looks like 16" would fill the arches much better. I am pretty tired of the long beach alloys to be honest, they look very plain...

2. Front tow eye covers. They look pretty old, cracked and worn. Need new ones.

3. Rear tyres. I've got Toyo T1R's at the front and Uniroyal rainsport 2's at the back. Even though they're both 195/50/15, the Toyo's look lower profile and much nicer, the uniroyal's look like balloons! Will be going for Toyo's again when time comes around.

4. Rear bumper. It just looks too high! It'd be nice to have a bigger rear splitter or some other mod (not lowering otherwise it'd look too uneven!) to make the back look lower. Mmmmm diffuser!

5. Front splitter. VR6 one needed I think

6. Paintwork. It's looking a bit tired, it needs some work on a few rust scabs and scratches as well as a load of stone chips on the bonnet and grill as you can see. You can see a massive set of scratches on the driver's side lower front bumper, I've had them since I bought the car, never got round to sorting them. I think if I had a polisher and lots of polishing creams as well as paintwork knowledge it'd look brilliant, but I don't.

That's it for now really
