Found this today

Seems to be rubbing on the coilovers.

However, I had a look with the wheel mounted and on full lock both ways, and it's got plenty of clearance....Strange....

I think I need some spacers though  :undecided:

The tyre is moving under load  hence not catching all the time.

5mm spacers should be adequate.

Explainable then.

Yup, will keep standard bolts by using them too won't I?

Should I be looking at hubcentric ones right?

I ran 5mm flat spacers (non hubcentric) with standard bolts on the MK4 with no problems at all.

Are you running 195/50/15's if so very strange as mine were nowhere close.

Might be worth checking your camber.

The problems started just after I stick the 16v brakes on  :undecided:

Long shot, but is the wheel bearing ok, I would check that as a urgent 1st step.

Wheel bearing is fine, I had a look in there today. The only thing I can think of, is the 16v disc allows the wheel to be closer to the strut, but then again plenty of 16v's running 195 tyres.
