Don't be a Shady!

Dyno is a great tool to check the health, not just power.

Robin found out he had a misfire.

Wazzzer found out he had actuator problems.

Lazylunatic found out he had problems too.

Looking at my AFR ratio I'm confident with the new coil it's now got it's making more power, as it was running pretty rich, about 13:1 average.
I think in the coming months, apart from putting a full new engine loom in I'll be looking at possibly a remap, exhaust manifold and MAYBE cams.

I may stick an induction kit on it too, but with proper heat shielding and good cold air intakes. I may have to chop up some of the slam panel for that.

I know this...  I don't need a dyno to tell me i've got issues.. the cars not been on the road for nearly 7 years!  and 6 of those years the engine was on a shelf

Got all the gear to tune it properly(ish) so one of my tasks is to do just that.  Gas tester, strobe etc....  we'll see, the truth is I will be mega curious after I've tweaked it... Her big head is sounding a little tired at the moment so I know it won't be what it was...  fingers crossed its not £££££££ required to get her back to her zippy glory!

Cheers bud.. This weekend (depending on weather) it should be finshed and ready for MOT..  :lipsrsealed:  Project thread is in line with dub rides now and both linked in my sig.  Mostly did that to make use of Bens download function, plus when a mate or someone new wants to have a look, dubrides is a bit much to flick through from the start!

Put the goodridge braided hoses, 16v calipers and discs, and the mintex m1144 pads on today

No photos during the swap as I was so excited! Sorry!

I'll post back in a few days, need to let the pads bed in and the discs clean up. Brakes do feel firmer now, but that may be psychological at the moment as I've not done more than a test run, I'll take it for a nice spin in the next few days and see how the new lines go
