Conversion is now on the horizon for sure, may/june time hopefully.

1997 (R reg)
104,000 miles
Clutch and cam belt done 19,000 ago
S/S exhaust
VR6 BBS wheels
couple of other bits and bobs
£510

Wheels, 288mm brakes (with new discs, pads and bearings), drivers seat, couple of other bits of trim and of course engine, gearbox and drive shafts will be going into the 8v.

Rest of the car I'll be breaking over the Easter holidays and selling off to make my money back. Old engine I'll be taking apart, cleaning, polishing, renewing and selling off in bits...everything for sale (apart from cam).

Picking it up Tuesday hopefully.

Well seems a lot of effort for a engine with those miles.

Whilst the engine is out just get it rebuilt and you should be sorted from there! :afro:

pessimism shining through again then wayne?

What about the boys in the mk2's, they're sticking ABF's in and 100k+ miles is common in these engines.
Mine is on almost 139k, so 35k older. That's what I do in about 3 years so got plenty of time to catch up

I might take some bits and bobs off to polish up and upgrade but until I see the car and test it out I can't say what I'm gonna do.

104k is low mileage  that engine should be nicely worn in
