Even if the stock lump could handle a little boost, the 020 gearbox sure as hell wouldn't last long with the hike in power. I've killed two on ~110bhp ! lol.  :grin:

You say that bud but I have thrashed 3 MKII 8v's and never killed a box. I even thrashed one for 45 miles with no gearbox oil in and it still worked!

I think you have voodooo gearbox breaking powers!

Maybe, as I have also killed one on a Mk3!  :shocked:

or....maybe the next owner of your cars had the joys of killing the box once and for all ?
