scratched windscreen!

this morning, icy windows... used the ice scraper.. all good... then when driving to work saw two lines... checked and they are scratches!!!!!!!!!!!  :angry:

gutted....
 
any ideas how to get rid?  :sad:

put a hammer through it and claim a new one on the windscreen excess.

They may polish out or "nearly" out.  Do you know anyone with a machine polisher ?    :rolleyes:

nope... only the garage but they will charge.. still, worth a call...

its not deep.. but not just a small mark either....

But you won't get an original VW window fitted! It'd be the cheapest compatible glass and fitter they can find.

A bit late now but the glass used in the Mk5 is known to be soft and to avoid scratching you should not use an ice scraper.
Without traction power is nothing!
