droopy headlining

ive just noticed the headlining at the back of my car is drooping. anyone know why it does it? and can anyone suggest a good glue or way to get it back??

You have 3 options... Staple it back up the pikey way, take the lot off the car and reglue it back on(you will have to scrape all the foam off it first, take it off and re-cover in another material.  usually once it starts coming off it tends to carry on!!

don't be tempted to use spay glue it looks good for all of 5 minutes then begins to bubble and fall down.

using spray glue and contact adhesive on the original lining does not work, from experience!

my advice would be to remove the headlining (a ballache but necessary), remove the vinyl lining and any traces of the old foam from the backing. then re-cover the backing with acoustic carpet (thin/light enough to not come away from the backing).

carpet glue or contact adhesive should work, make sure its set before you stick it back into the car though

mine was even more pikey... rip off the vinyl, scrape off the old foam and spray the backing with black hammerite rattle cans

The pikey staple it up method works very well!!!

Don't even bother trying to glue it, as soon as the sun comes out down it comes again!!
